Kukee Jewellery

Good Morning!

So, I came across a website a couple of weeks ago that really caught my eye. The website/brand is called Kukee & it's such a cute little site.

The website offers a mixture of jewellery, accessories and a range of different brands. The materials also come in silver, gold and rose gold colours.

I was actually looking for a crescent moon necklace & luckily found one for an amazingly reasonable price! I also found an infinity ring that I really liked as well.

My necklace was £3 and my ring was £1.50 - which for two pieces of jewellery is incredible. They arrived yesterday, and even the quality is great. The packaging was also so lovely so overall I'm really impressed with this brand!

Go check them out here if you want to have a little look - since going back to the website today, I have found a few extra things I actually really want. Another amazing part of this website is that the UK posting & delivery is only a £1 - WOW! Thank you Kukee for being so affordable & lovely!

Also, here are some photo's of what I purchased :)

Enjoy, and have a wonderful Saturday everyone!

la vie en rose

Hello everyone!

So on my lunch break in work, I try very hard to by-pass the magazine stand in the closest shop.. lets just say this week, I just couldn't help it!

Mainly because I spotted that 'Company' magazine not only had a 'Paris' issue on the go, but 'Haim' were on the cover. Two of my favourite things. Whilst I was reading through it, I kept remembering my previous trips to Paris, and got all nostalgic and the craving to go back there took over me!

Paris is one of my favourite places on this planet. If I could live in any City it would be in my top five. (most of the others in that list however are mountain related!)

When I visit Paris, I tend to stray away from all the 'touristy' spots, even though the sightseeing is fabulous. I don't stay in a hotel, I stay in an apartment, just to feel like I have that 'homey' feeling. I try and explore as much as possible, but also relax as much as possible. To enjoy Paris, I think you have to embrace the Parisian lifestyle as much as you can. Some people love it, some people hate it.

I absolutely, love it.

So I thought I would dedicate this post to a few snap shots of my previous visits, just to help me a long with my craving of going back to that beautiful city.

Enjoy!

Hello 2014 & Staying Positive!

Hello :)

This is my first post of 2014 - and quite frankly, I can't wait to post more on here this year.

This post is going to mainly be about my aim to stay positive throughout this year, and also what my 2014 goals are going to be!

Firstly - I would just like to briefly say that as some of you may experience this too, I have a bizarre case of the January blues! I've never really gotten this before, but this year I definitely have. I am although, going to take this silly bout of the January blues and punch it in the face! I think you have to try and turn it around and look at everything you're thinking about and put a positive spin on things. There are many aspects of my life, both good and not so good that I think about but I've realised that you HAVE TO think positively or nothing will change or get better. So that's what my goal is for this year. Last year had it's major ups and downs, and I'm not going to let this year defeat myself, my friends, my family or my loved ones. I just won't let it. If it does, then I want to be able to have a different perspective on things. Make my mind think differently about things.

The first step is to think about my goals for 2014.

- Bake/Cook More: I have to be quite strict with my diet, having a very sensitive tummy and being wheat/gluten intolerant I have to try and make my diet as exciting as possible! So this year I want to try and cook a lot more in the house *things I can actually eat!

- Explore the country/world more: I've grown up travelling and exploring the world. Although, working full time really does restrict me in doing this. It kills me, but this year I'm not going to let that stop me, because I'm just dying for an adventure.

- Find more time to visit family/friends: Where possible, I'm going to visit the friends I don't see and the family I rarely get to see, more often this year. It was a difficult year in 2013 for my family, so spending time with them is going to be key. Plus, close friends of mine moved away, so I'm going to for sure visit them this year!

- Aim to post on my blog every week: I used to blog all the time a few years ago, and then had a while of losing interest in it. This time around, I feel like it's going to work a lot better!

- Use my camera as much as possible: I love photography and I have a very good camera collecting dust. It's crying out to be used and it most definitely will be.

- Go on as many adventures with Alfie as we can: My boyfriend is a photographer/filmmaker and also works part time, which means he gets to explore a lot. This year, I want to make sure we get time for us both to spend time together in places we haven't been before :)

- Get my own place: It's time to do things on my own again.

- Exercise more often and try to enjoy it: I WILL ENJOY IT.

- Complete my Geography Course: My goal in life is to work with animals, and this course is step 1 to getting there. I'm going to get this course completed.

- Do something with my Illustration work: I have to realise that I'm good at drawing and putting pen to paper, so I need to do something with what ends up on that paper. I already have some ideas for later this year!

- Take more care of my skin: I watch so many beauty bloggers on youtube and am hoping I can start putting some of the money I earn towards a proper set of skin care goodies to make my skin like me again.

- Get a tattoo with Paris: My best friend Paris wants me to design her a tattoo, so once I have, we're going to get a tattoo each together.

- Be confident in my own skin: Confidence is key, that's about it. I need to find it.

- Read more: I love reading! Alfie & I watch nature documentaries before bed all the time, I think I might start reading instead for a little while. It might make my brain slow down. Plus, I love reading.

- Be brave & be strong in my thoughts: If I want to have a positive year, I need to make sure that my thoughts are positive, that my words are positive and I stand by them.

-x-

So, there we have it! My goals for this year, and what I'm planning on doing. I really hope that everyone has had a fantastic new year and I'm hoping to post on here at least once a week. If I do more than one then that's a bonus :)
